I ended up getting it for 3600. A little more than I wanted to part with but he also came down a fair amount. Also, I figured I'd have to pay a little more for something in good shape, these things seem to hold their value pretty well after a certain point. Anyway.

Default 2005 600f41 dropping motor

My spark plug is stripped so im dropping the motor to remove the head and using a Temp sert for the fix. Everything is disconnected and im at the motor mount stage. Ive purchased a castle nut socket for 2 of the motor mounts and realize that i need the castle nut socket for the swingarm. Thats ok. My question is that my rear tire stand is a pullman jack. Is there a way thats possible to drop the motor and leave the jack in place to hold the bike. I dont have a front tire stand yet.
Someone mentioned to pull the swingarm bolt out but leave about 1/4 of the bolt in so thst the swingarm bolt hole on the back of the motor just clears the bolt and at that point the motot can be lowered and the rear tire and swingarm can stay in place to support the rest of the bike.

Is this true.
Thanks desperate to get this job finished and back on the road. I just dont want the bike to pivot apart and drop to the ground plus i would like to eliminate dismantling the whole swingarm and rear brakes
