F4i clicking noise from engine
#21
I'd just like to say that many people on these very forums use car oil in their bikes and it works just fine. And if I'm not mistaken, a certain member has used car oil for the life of his bike and it has over 100,000 miles.

no i don't remember any copper gaskets in the micron instructions. it came out from where the engine block and exhaust manifold was. how do i test if there is a leak? here is the link to the wav file i recorded today.

. . .I don't hear anything like that, though it could be my crappy work speakers. I can try when I get home. A tiny exhaust leak would create a high-pitched "claping" sound, which seems like what you're describing. You're supposed to have a gasket in between the manifold and engine to prevent leaks, and you need to replace it every time you separate the two. They usually don't come with the kits. I know I had to buy mine separate.
