hi everybody -irecently became the owner of a 02 954-icouldnt start it in gear but thanks to the forum it was an easy fix[clutch lever wires not fully connecting]now ive noticed a new problem when the bike is idleing[at a stop light or just warming up]about every 3 mins or so i hear a click noise[kinda like thenoise the fan makes when it clicks on]but its not always when the bike is hot-i just cant be at peace riding it knowing that it shouldnt be doing this eventhough otherwise the bike seems fine thanks mike....

 

i know the cam chain tensioner(i think) is famous for making clicking noises on these bikes. i know mine does and everyone says its no big deal and ive just ignored it anyway. not sure if thats the same clicking sound you're hearing.

 

no its a different click -only oneand it soounds like its electrical-kinda like thefan but it sounds like the power shuts off for a fraction of a second- thanks mike,,,
