Just got past 50,000 miles on my 2006 F4i not sure about the maintenance that was done before I owned the bike. Any idea what this could be? I think its CCT but wanted to get more opinions before I order a APE manual chain tensioner.

 

It certainly sounds like it, I have heard it described as BB shot rattling in a tin can.
I presume you have not replaced the CCT since you have had it, how many miles have you done on it?

 

It does sound similar to my last F4i.
