Default exploding diodes, left and right.

Alright guys, If you guys were following up my Original thread, as to what happened. I replaced the diode, it exploded again. There must be a short somewhere.

When measuring the three slots the diode goes into everything is abnormal until the fuel pump is disconnected. Same thing happened. at first everything did turn on until i unplugged the the fuel pump and then popped it back in. and the diode fried...

now my question is now i have trouble recollecting. Does the 4 pin harness plug into the starter relay. or is it not plugged. After i pulled the fuel tank it was unplugged. i figured it came loose so i plugged it back in again. and thats whey everything went bad!

thanks for the input

Default RE: exploding diodes, left and right.

Okay little update. Merry Christmas all!

Seems to be that i remeber having a connector not connected under the seat, two actually one was 3 pined like the the fuel pump and the other was 4pinned.

According to the honda manual is is connected. It seems that it wasn't connected in my old bike if i recall correctly. and because of connecting it i may have fried my starter relay.

Any thoughts or what might be wrong? let me know
thanks i really appreciate it.

here are pictures are these two supposed to be left alone or plugged into each other its quite complex at this point.

Happy holidays guys and thanks!

Hit up Shadow and see if he has an online manual for your bike. If not he prolly knows where one exists Electrical gremlins are bad enough when you have the manual ...

Good luck sorting it out.

well you're diode is getting friend because there is too much current being pulled through it. Whatever is connected to the diode is pulling too much current(possible short). So you will want to trace the load on the other end of the diode. I would probably first check the resistance between the load and ground to determine if there is a short.
