Hey you guys laugh but I have seen this happen in real life... I managea asphalt paving crew during the summer break of school, well part of the deal is after you pave over those things, you have to go back and raise them to the current level of asphalt. Well as two of my guys were trying to lift the lid off of one, it was rather filled with asphalt fines, so we take a big propane torch and heat them up to get them off. Well no one bothered to tell us the fact that there were two manholes about 20feet apart, the second one never got used because it was old. So my boys are heating that lid up to pop it off, and they got the methane below warm enough where it caused the one 20ft uphill to go boom. I guess some poor guy was next to the bathroom inside and it sounded like a bomb went off and water went all over everywhere.

 

I dont doubt that it can happen, but for some reason that just looked too fake..........
