Default Engine noise

I just recently purchased an 03 F4i. I've noticed during decel that i'm getting a ticking noise that sounds like the timing chain. After doing a little research I discovered the CCT problem and was wondering if this sounded like anything anyone else had experienced. I've also noticed alot of play in the drive line when switching gears or going from decelerating to accelerating. I adjusted my chain which seemed to help but didnt eliminate the problem. Wondering if this could be slack in the time chain possibly? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks

Check out the CCTL sticky thread at the top of the main page. And I'm not quite sure what you mean by "play in the drive line".

When I say play in the driveline i mean that it feels like there is slack so when I go to accelerate it jerks forward abruptly.

If it jerks forward you might need to work on shifting and clutch control a bit...when I have just been lazy with shifting, the bike will jerk when you dont all the way let off the throttle between shifts. Also might be letting the clutch out to slow and getting on the throttle too soon resulting in a "jerk" feeling

would a worn out cush drive (the rubber things on the rear sprocket) cause this? Im noticing the same issue on my 2002 f4i but I know its not my shifting.

how many miles are on the bike? my drive chain started making a clicking sound when it was stretched out far enough it didn't want to mesh on the sprockets just right

it might be as simple as replacing the chain
