Hey guys, this is my first post so hopefully you guys can help.
I have a 2002 F4i with 60,000km which I got a year ago and has been great with only minor issues. My problem is this; when I start my bike, its turns over and runs when I press the start button, but when I release the start button, the engine dies.
When I turn the ignition switch to "ON" all the lights come on for a couple seconds, which is normal, but the turn signal lights stay on but are not flashing, which is not normal. When I flip the engine stop switch to "RUN" the FI light does not come on anymore and I cannot hear the fuel pump prime. I've check the fuses in the fuse box and they were all fine. Is there any other fuses I should check?
The weirdest part is that my bike runs for as long as I hold the start button down and I can ride it with the button held but the moment I let it go, the engine dies.
Any suggestions?

Had the same problem the ground was bad in the plug where the headlight harness plugs into the main harness i beleive it is the green wire. I just cut the wire on each side of the plug and sodered an new wire in to connect them and havent had a problem since. Good luck let me know im interested if its the same thing as my bike
