Just bought an Akro race can and a K&N for my 2001 FS (UK), heard that they run rich as standard (which may explain the shocking fuel consumption!) and benefit from a little breathing work. Obviously the best result is to get it mapped but not finacially viable right now, what are your experiences with the same or simlar set ups?

 

if its the same as 02 f4i(us) i have a leoviche can and k&n and havent noticed any change to my fuel consmption. it does however sound alittle diffrent at idel. but i like the sound

I was meant compared with the FX/Y's or F4 as you know them which are much easier on the juice but are the same engine bar carbed. Can still winging its way in the post so not fitted yet but will no doubt have the effect of decreasing the economy as I know I wont be able to resist giving it some beans to hear it! Cant hear it running next to my dad's MillieR wich has a renegade air kit and an Arrow can. [:-]
