New bloke with a query
Hello everyone....I'm a has been lurker, for a while now. Time to come out of the closet! Let me introduce myself first:
I'm from the UK (London) and I don't own my CBR yet. But I do have a 50cc Yamaha which I practice on. [:-] Reason I don't have my bike is because I don't have me fast bike licence (need one here). Though I can get one rather quickish when the time comes... So anyway, about 6 months ago I went into my local Yamaha dealer to replace a wing mirror on me scooter (some ****** took it)...cost me 6 quid. On me way out I saw a 2005 F4i in red/black and fell in love with the thing...sat on it etc...and nearly ended up buying it...though the person I was with at the time covinced me no too. [:@]
So, eventually I'll buy one but like everyone else I'm torn between the F4i and RR. Now...before you all say "buy the F4i cos the RR is satan incarnate and will kill you cos you only ever rode a 50cc scooter..." I'll add here that I'm not in me 20s anymore...so I've gone past my wreckless/suicidal phase AND on top of that, I'm a professional driver and have been for most of my life (a professional cager)
. So I know how to read the road and not only that I would never risk damaging the future love of my life (the CBR not the misses)...
No...what I really want to know is...if I buy an RR...will the underseat exhausts play havoc with me hemaroids? Cos I heard more than once you can feel the heat come up from underneath... Did a search about this and couldn't find one mention of hemaroids but my apology if it's already been discussed.
I don't wanna be lumped with a bike which gives me an inflamed **** everytime I go on it...[
]...and I'll hardly ask the bloke at the dealer.
So any RR owners discreetly wanna tell me if I'm in danger of a hem attack with an RR??? Comfy seat on the F4i is also tempting for me sensitive ****.
Thanks again and welcome!

Welcome to the board! Have no fear with Honda's undertail exhaust -- your tushy is well insulated from the heat unless you remove some heat shielding or you back into the pipe after a rigorous ride. The seat is hard as a frikkin rock so there is that.
Comfort will be the biggest factor between the two. RR is pretty much ready for the track as it sits in the showroom. The F4i will be a bit more comfy for most people -- although it's still a bad *** bike. Really you can't go wrong either way.
Good luck with the decision.

Hey thanks Chainstretcher...I was in two minds whether to ask the question...but it's been in the back of my head for ages now and I wanna get all the questions answered before I take the plunge. I may wanna use the bike for some touring as I travel through France on occassion...so the hard seat on the RR doesn't sound appealing. There's a bloke who's got a blue RR who lives near me...stunning bike....
