Default HID Query

How many of you guys have HID conversion kits? Are they worth the money? Are they appealing?

I'm thinking about investing in an HID kit for my 04 600rr. I'm having a difficulty finding which brands are liable. I'm currently browsing through Ebay which only has a selection of products under $90, which probably details their value.

I'm looking to have it installed professionally, because honestly, I know nothing about the wiring of my bike and would rather have it installed correctly the first time.

Thanks

I have HIDs on 2006 600rr & they really make a difference especially at night. Im not much of installer, but I installed the HIDs myself & it took me about half hour. I got 8k HIDs with the slim ballast for $74 after shipping & it comes with a year warranty. I ordered mine from HIDNY.com... I live n jersey & I have at least 10 of my friends that ride who have ordered HIDs not only for there bike, but for there cars & trucks. Try them out!

You have H7 headlight bulbs in your bike. Its the slim ballast single beam, the H7 bulb is only offered in one of the categories. It comes with high & low beam. I have the 8k(light blue) bulb in mine and it lights up the road 10x better than stock. Also you want the slim ballast for your bike so you can find a nice spot to keep it hidden. I bought a back up set in the 6k(super white) and those like awesome to!

my lights suck right now... i hate them with a passion because even with the highbeams on, they still suck... i think they are worth the money, i have HID's in my car right now... the only thing that sucks is that when you have charging issues like how i had with my bike several times, they tend to flicker or turn off... since my bike doesnt have an on/off button for headlights like my car, i think you have to shut the whole bike off to turn it bck on...

BUT lets hope u dont have charging issues

my friend has h4's in his bike so he bought a set for a car which comes with 2 sides... he used one side and gave the other side to his buddy so maybe u can do that too... 2 for the price of one

Swifter, should I purchase the Relay Harness as it suggests? It's an extra $19.99.

I'm hoping to buy these soon. Was it easy to install Swifter? It would be great if you could take a picture where you put your ballasts on your bike.

Thanks again!

You dont need the relay from them. Its a straight plug and play. I did buy a start delay relay for my bike though. It delays the HIDs from turning on when you start the bike. So your bike won't strain the battery on the start up. I got that from tripageled.com . It took me 20 mins to install everything, but I already had the fairings off my bike. I will try to post pics, but with the slim ballast you can mount them anywere. Keep in mind the ballast will get hot so dont install them on any plastics. I put mine under the side fairings, so the air can get to it to keep it cool it.
