Ya thats kind of how I am rationallizing it...it is a certified bike so I have that pc of mind...and with the $4k recieved for the F4i, its not horrible!

But Nate I actually thought the finance rates were horrible! One place was 11% and this place is 15-16%! Thats another $1000-1300 in interest! Guess its bc its a sportbike (not a car...my lexus when i bought it was 6% i think) and Honda doesnt offer financing on used bikes!

My finance rate on my bike was 7% for a 2 year term. I financed all 7grand. I paid it off in a year though.

11-15/16% seems high.

I financed through Navy Federal. Are you a member of any credit unions? Try them if you are or your regular bank as well.

Sheesh, for that price, I would want that thing in perfect, never touched the ground, condition. It's you're call, but for a little extra you could probably have a brand new 600rr.

Been checking dealers and they're acting stupid right now. Found a brand new Leyla in MA at a dealership. They want 2011 600RR retail price, which is $3k over KBB value.

Don't bother talking to dealers till it gets closer to December imo. Closer to them paying taxes on their inventory, they start sweating

Ya dealers have some false sense of pricing in general on sportbikes right now for some reason? Anybody have a clue as to why the VIN checks out as a 2009????

Blake, Is it a Honda dealer or just a motorsports dealer. Last year in September when I went to the Honda dealer they were having a crazy low rate of 1.5% or something but I don't know if that is just for new bikes or not. If it is just a motorsports dealer they probably won't have the same rates though.

About the VIN - that is odd. I would really question the dealer about that. They wouldn't manufacture it in 09. It would have been 07 or 08 cause the that model year comes out the prior year.

And I got to agree with Mike, if there are some scuffs use that to talk the price down. Or tell them to replace them both before you buy it and you want it for the same price.

All dealerships in arizona are retarded, I know as I worked at one of the top ones in the 4state area for almost 2yrs. Under 10% intrest doesn't happen as its a powersport loan and they know you don't need it where as cars are considerd "needed" items by the world and so intrest is lower.

Noober- your really making me wonder man. It literally took me 3 seconds on craigslist to find better deals then your getting. 2007 Honda CBR 600RR

Boredondstroked- Sure I can find deals on 07's on craigslist all day long too.....I'm not looking for a blue/red/black (now if a pearl came up id consider it) 07-08 RR...I have my heart set on the matte black graffiti...if you find one of those please don't hesitate to let me know...As far as I can see, I only see 2 for sale in the whole state, 1 is rashed up and the other is $8,800.

Edit: Just saw your link...already talked to that kid...I'm not settling for another color (blue) just bc it's a good deal..I'll regret it

So...what is everyones thoughts on this...given what I stated above, about not settling on color...should I consider it an option to flirt with the idea of buying a 2007 blue/gray bc it is a great price? THEN...selling the fairings/buying new fairings in the graffiti matte black OR pearl white? Is this even an option? (as in, do any legit companies sell perfect fit oem, or damn near close to oem complete 2007-2008 fairing kits?) If so how much?

Reason being, if I get a blue/gray 07 for $5,000....part out the fairings and hope to get whatever I can for them...purchase a complete fairing kit for however much (under $1000?) maybe itl be a wash? And I woulda bought locally and privately thus no sales tax

Ugh...

I would just wait for the perfect bike to come your way. It will, just give it time.
