Default Different oil? Shifting problem when hot

I was going to post this in the drag section, but it doesn't get much attention.

My guess is that the previous owner ran factory oil. 10w40 SJ rated oil...

My problem is after running the bike down the strip two or three times I sometimes get stuck in between first and second in neutral, or caught up in third gear going into fourth when trying to clutchless shift... If this is a common problem and it's related to syncros/transmission related issues let me know.

My guess is that my oil is thinning past 40w...I don't know what my oil temp is, but it's probably over 100c (212F). The temp that the 40 is rated at..
My coolant reads about 180 after running down the track and a little over 200 once I finally make my way back to the pits.. I'm wondering if my engine oil is running to hot from the hard runs, then the engine doesn't fully cool between runs, then the bike heat soaks.... If I let it sit1/2 an hour I'll sho a temp of about 160, but it doesn't show oil temp..

I have several questions

1.) What is the temp of the oil after the engine heat soaks for a few minutes....Do they sell an oil temp sensor for our bikes thatwill install into the drain plug hole??.. This would be a nice safety precaution.
2.)SJ is what Honda motorcycle oil is rated at. Is there a different rated oil that is better for our bikes??
3.)Has anyone run 5w30 oil in their bikes with any success???
Thanks in advance.
