Hey all, more problems (again D: ) from my bike. It seems to have trouble shifting from 1st to 2nd. It'll find neutral and then refuse to hit second, sometimes i can hear the gear hitting the clutch (like a machine gun, it doesn't sound pretty) but it just refuses to engage and I look like an idiot revving at maybe 15 mph with people behind me. It'll eventually engage if i kick up enough times, but it's definitely a problem.

Is this maybe a problem with the starter clutch? I have no idea.

 

are you rolling down a hill in neutral? that happens to me but its normal.. unless ur on like a flat ground then i dont know..

 

Clutch cable maybe? Could have some slack in it.It's always good to start with the simple fix first.(or could use a lube)

 

Shift forks bent I think. I have the same problem and I got a new set of shift forks and shift drum so when I finally split the case I hope I havn't messed up the 2nd Gears....Good luck. on second thought check the linkage between the shifter pedal and the shaft. make sure its not real loose... that might be the problem

 

I have this problem too. not good at all. im going to post another thread about this because it also happens to me in my 3-4 shifts.
