didnt want 2 start and ticking noise at 6k??

Default didnt want 2 start and ticking noise at 6k??

my bike is acting wierd. this is the second time it didnt want to start. i hit the starter button and it just cranks. i have no idea wats wrongi had to get it push started. and while riding or just standin there with the throttle at like 6k theres a ticking sounds. at first i thought it was some kind of metal rubbing the horn, but its not. my bike is an 04 f4i with about51oo miles

wow i think im starting to sound like a tape recorder. CCT Cam Chain Tensioner its a cheap repair the part run 50-80 bucks. AS far as the not starting hmm it could be many things.

lol, sorry for making you feel like a taperecorder. do u know anything else about this cct,where its at,front of engine?, easy to replace?

Side of the motor. ITs esy if your a motor kinda guy if you havent worked on the internals of engines before i would say take it to a local shop a dealer cost about 120-150 for the install and the part is about 55 bucks. But if you look in your phonebook and find a local non dealer motorcycle repair shop they should be able to do it for about 100 bucks id say if you supply the part. The honda 600's are know for the cct's they should be replaced every 5500-8000 miles when you start to hear it basically. Dont let it get too noisy tho, it throws the timing off.
