Couple of random Questions
Hey,
Thos who know me, I just recently picked up my 01 F4i
I have a few questions.
First one is that I just noticed my taillight is different from stock...the previous owner sawed off the bottom half of he rear fender and i guess he integrated the turn signals into the stock taillight. I also noticed that wen the brake is pressed the tailights go on but blink repetitively almost like a strobe but slower...not seizure fast.....Is this legal???? I guess it is like a safey measure to make sure other drivers see that ur braking.
My second question is...can anyone direct meto a howto instal the hotbodes flush sidemarkers...I got no clue. I feel like I have to cut and solder some wires..but before I do. I thought i would ask here. I'm not a teck savy much, but by looking at it, i feel like the wires that are connected the bulb socket have to be cut and then I just connect the wires via the clips they agave nme??
Thanks

RE: Couple of random Questions
Yes you tail lights can blink...this allows the driver behind you to know you are slowing down. I have blinking taillights on my bike.
Sidemarkers, are you referring to turn signals? The easiest way to install them is to take the front faring off the bike and mount and wire them from there.

Not sure about your flushmount signals.
Also, as for your taillight, wether it's legal or not really depends on your State/Province's laws. Chances are that it is legal however, as you could easily duplicate the blinking pattern manually.
I ride my F4i daily in the summer and I manually make my brake light "blink" when slowing down on the highway, in order to make it pretty obvious to Bubba-on-his-cell-phone behind me that I'm slowing down. I've yet to get rear-ended!
