Clutch problems possibly need help
I removed the timing cap and looked at it when I was moving the clutch arm. You can see in the pic the silver cap comes off. And I seen them left the clutch plates. But still no movement in back wheel
Hi has your bike been laid up for a while , could be the plates stuck together, take it off the stand. put it in 2nd gear and rock it back and forward to see if they separate , pulling the lever occasionally
Hi, strangely enough today a pal called with problems on his clutch , Honda cbr6004fi , went across to help, same thing as yours couldn't get the clutch to work properly , he had put new plates fibre and steel in, so we undid his work and started again, what he had done was put a fibre plate on top of the 2 rattle seals/springs, there is 1 fibre plate with a bigger inside diameter that sits over the rattle springs, just wondering when you checked your plates did you put that fibre plate on first
Did you end up figuring it out?
I installed my new clutch and at first thought I did something wrong because wheel would move freely in neutral, but not in gear with clutch pulled in. But saw thru the timing hole that the clutch lever/cable was moving the plates. I found out that it's normal to have a bit more resistance to turning with bike in gear and clutch disengaged versus simply in neutral when it's on the stand...
