Default Clutch up problems or just clutch problems?

I've been riding for about street bike for about 5 years now, I love being on the back wheel. Problem is my 02 f4i will not clutch up in 2nd what so ever. I'm cruising at about 5,000 rpm, pull the clutch in let it up to around 10,000 and the bike lifts 6 inches off the ground. First gear I am fine clutches right up. Could it be the clutch or me? My rr was fine and I know f4i's are sit Down kings

i don't know about the ease of a second gear clutch up, but do you have stock sprockets? you don't have a slipper clutch do you?

I've never seen anyone wheelie a stock f4i in 2nd gear.

I just started wheeling on my bike and everyone told me to start in second. You can definitely clutch up in second. I was being to chicken to do it so I asked one of the guys to do one for me and he took the bike down the road and came back full stand up 2nd gear the whole time. They all stunt so that doesn't surprise me but I know for a fact on stock gearing you can clutch a second, IDK about 3rd though.

Just give it more gas and use knees to bounce the suspension a bit. I have a +1 front sprocket, (yes, plus one front sprocket) and can clutch up 2nd and 3rd without problem. 3rd takes a real good bounce though with perfect timing and lots of rpm.

These wet clutches can take a lot of abuse and dont need replacing unless you've burned it being stupid up or have a billion miles. (more like 30k+)

There is no aftermarket option for a slipper clutch in and f4i.
