changing OIL???
Pick up a haynes or clymer manual. It will have all the info you need on how to change your oil. It's the same as on a car. You have a drain plug, oil filter, and fill tube/plug. Just check in the manual for where everything is on your specific bike.
I change mine around every 2000 to 3000 miles, but I run synthetic on my bike.

I was reading my manual for the my bike, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong but it has a little chart under the maintance section that tells you what milage to do what repairs/maintance/upgrades... it has oil change - every 8k mi?
Ya, that's true -- I think mine has some outrageous number like that also. I like to think of it like this -- if I don't change the oil in my Jeep and the engine goes BOOM then I'm stuck somewhere. If the engine in my 1000RR goes BOOM I'm likely a hood ornament for a semi. So I treat my bike engine much nicer than a car. Remember, the oil in your bike does more than just lubricate the engine -- it also lubricates the tranny -- lot's of shearing action going on in there. Streetbike oil also has detergents in it that trap acids and dirt that are a result of combustion ... especially combustion from revving the living crap out of it
Now I'll admit that Honda engineers may know all about such things and it's perfectly o.k. to go 8000 miles between oil changes. I just can't wait that long --I ride to damned hard.
