so after further investigation there is a twist or bend in my chain
i got my rear stand out lifted the bike and used a wrench on the front sprocket to spin my chain and when the chain rotates to a certain place you can see two or 3 links of the chain starting to turn off the sprocket..
at first i thought it was the sprocket but that section of the sprocket hits all of the chain and is fine until that one point... so there is $150

Make sure you check the sprockets, because if it was riden long enough on the damaged chain chances are the sprockets were damaged too. We all know what damaged sprockets means.

Talking

good news....

so I got a new chain.... the parts manual i ordered from had the wrong size chain, it has a 525 112 link listed. www.ekchains.com has it listed at the 525 108 link for the 02 cbr f4i. so after breaking a master link clip and removing the 4 extra links. I got hte chain on tight and ready to go

got it on the stand let it run got up to about 20 mph in second gear and no hitch or noise coming from the chain very happy!

now msf this weekend and im all legit!
