CCT, does it have to be TDC to install?

Default CCT, does it have to be TDC to install?

Ok, i heard somewhere that the first piston has to be TDC before you try to adjust your CCT if this is true, how might i go about this? i will be installing it at 8:00am tomorrow so i can ride for a little during the day.

I think that is some myth, no matter where the pistons are the cam chain is in the same place

shouldn't matter if you have #1 on tdc or not the chain shouldn't change shape or anything like that

it says it in the manual, but i've never done it...maybe...MAYBE at TDC for #1 is where the chain is the tightest, so the cctl extends to max at that point...however if this is the case it really wouldn't matter since the cctl will read slack in the chain regardless of where it is and then adjust accordingly.

yeah, i tried to get it to TDC, but after tearing my bike apart and playing with it for 40 minutes i gave up and just installed it and adjusted it, sounds great now tho! best thing i have ever done for my bike by far. 9really hard to adjust tho) no tools can get to it.
