Default Cbr newbie with questions

Hi everyone, I have just bought a 2001 honda cbr 600 rossi edition. I am confused as to what forum I should be looking for advice under. Can someone advise is it f4i?

Also with the headlights can someone advise if I have a bulb out or should only one side be lit when I have the normal beams on. Do both only come on when full beams are on? Both work when I turn the full beams on. See the attached pics.

Also with the fuel guage does it only flash when the reserve comes on or should it show the level of the fuel at all times. Thinking I may have an issue. Some aftermarket indicators have been put on recently and thinking maybe this had caused a slight electrical issue. When indicating left there is a delay on the dash and does not click on automatically.

Sorry for the long post and many thanks in advance.

Side light

Dipped beam

Full beam

Hi
You have an F4i, your headlights are working correctly (1 when normal, both when high beam on), fuel gauge only comes on when getting low, it does not show fuel level in real time as the bike consumes fuel. You must fill your tank full and wait a couple of minutes or so to reset the flashing fuel indicator (if you partially refill it, it doesn't go away). Your indicator issue may be caused by the switch on the left side of the handle bar. It may need to be opened up and cleaned and re-greased. I have a similar issue and it seems to work better in warmer weather.

@Rossd21 Welcome to the forum. That's funny, I just noticed that the single low beam that is illuminated is on the opposite side as the one on my F4i. I suspect it has to do with driving on the wrong side... lol. Sounds like you've had your questions answered.

Hey dude, welcome, nice purchase.....I am a Harley rider normally but I picked up a 2002 F-Sport a year back; really enjoying it....

Just finished replacing my head bearings for taper rollers.

Is yours a grey import at all, or one spec'd for Europe? Looks like you have a beam deflector thing on the lens? Assume the speedo is in MPH?

I wondered what that was on the lens. When I did an hpi check it said that the bike was imported but has always had a UK plate. The speedo is digital so you can change between mph and kph. But it clocks in miles.

Would you say that the engine is a bit tappy in low rpm?

Interesting, might be that the headlamp unit is for a right hand drive market.

I don't find mine that tappet'y, no more than any other inline 4...but you might have the original cam chain tensioner on it which is probably past its best. What sort of mileage does it have?

Might jusy be me being picky over every noise I here. First time having an inline 4. Used to have a hornet. It's only got less than 8k on the clock.
