Cant start 01 f4i
Im a bit new around here so hello everyone!
I have a cbr600f4i 2001, has done around 40,000km. And, unfortunately has been sitting in my garage for the last 12 months(not maintained but kept inside), i managed to get it roll started 3 months ago(seemed to run fine) but most certainly the battery will be dead.
So i borrowed the battery from my drz400(battery has 100cca) in hopes of it firing the 600 up (190cca). It sounds like the starter motor is strong but its just not firing up. It doesnt appear to be a power issue but i dont know about all the ecu and electronics, would they cause it to not start as not getting enough power, from smaller battery? Would it be better to keep the original, dead, battery in and use my running drz to jump start it? or perhaps a car?
My next problem is replacing my radiator, damaged due to the fan rubbing or vibrating on it. I used some powder stuff in a tube called silver seal to temporarily fix the leak, which it did. But i want to flush it out with some automotive radiator cleaner/flush. To do that tho i need to add it to the engine while its running.(see above). I am having the rad sent to be re-cored/repaired at a rad specialist , who apparently will make it better than original.
Would the sealant powder have migrated to the engine (not just sit in radiator)? Will automotive flush clean it out of my engine? Is there anything i can do to reduce my guilt in putting such impure substances into the engine?
Will/should i have to do everything else first before i should even think about firing the engine up?
ie oil/filters/air box/sparkplugs
How would i go about draining the fuel if it has turned stale?
Ive heard about the bike showing some sort of codes, that lets you know the status of the bikes computer?
i have removed most of the fairings, including the front headlight, which is the only non cosmetic part i have removed.
sorry if too many questions at once , but i am used to simple one cylinder dirt bikes, much less complicated, any help with any of these issues would be much appreciated

sound like your in the same spot i was months ago.
1. Your better off getting a deacent battery. Your bike runs off 12V.
Battery i got:
Gel YTZ10S Battery for Honda CBR 1000RR 1000 RR 04 07 600RR RR F4i 01 10 CB900F | eBay
Battery Tender Jr.
Deltran Battery Tender Jr 12V Maintainer Charger 12 Volt Trickle Junior 021 0123 | eBay
2. Not sure where you live, but if your radiator damage is that bad, id just replace it. im sure there are plenty on Ebay 01-06 F4i will fit.
3. As for starting it, top it off with oil, pour a 1/4 bottle Sea Foam in the tank with fresh fuel (1/4 tank or enough for the reserve) that will help you with what your next step will be.
that about what i did to get mine up and running. if your not sure how to do anything, YouTube will help big time. if you got it to push start your not far off, stick with it, DONT RUSH, youve got all winter.
FYI: if your looking for NEW parts this is a good place to start.

You have a link to the part you bought?
I'm intrigued to see if the chinese rads on eBay etc have improved since the last few I've seen.
