However, SquireSCA are you saying that the weight does not have anything to do with the way an object has a potential to be lifted? Que?
Woah, I hope you dont work for NASA!(j/k) You gotta to be kidding me though...... The wings of an airplane are design specifically for the maximum weight capacity of the plane + threshold precent. The wing is made for aerodynamic pressure gradient to create the lifting force. Also, the main problem with your comment is that you said “It's not about the weight. It's about how air flows over the bike.” The air is going not only over the bike but underneath. That’s the key to creating the lift, if the different of pressure from over and under or lower and higher pressure becomes too great; the bike will lift. Anyone who took thermodynamics knows that pressure goes from high to low, in bike or plane case its from down to up aka lift……

That the wackiest comment ever, all of them actually.
Over 200 mph equal a sudden lift off for a bike. It will be too difficult to keep a 370 pound bike down at those speeds. Unless you are a 500 lb rider may be you can pull that off. Fatty!!

However, I cant not find a single engine bikes and especially 1000cc bikes that did 200+mph.. please someone find a reference.
Just for a regular GXSR-1000 with some mods; it would be difficult to over come the air resistance. Even with drag-bike fairings it would still not get up that high in mphs'. However, regular fairing are not design to withstand that kind of pressure that will be all around the bike. That was my implication about the "take off". There will be an insane amount of high pressure build up in the tail section of the bike/car at those speeed. (thats where the invent of spoilers came about)
Secondly, my comment about the 237mph=148+kmph was refering to the past comments that people were making about that gauge reading was done in kilometers. I dont think if a 1000 did 237kmph it would have been a big deal and no one will have an interest in it. 'cause its not a record for a 1000.
SquireSCA, so now you saying that weight is an important factor? Thats cool!
