RE: Buying a windscreen is a waste of $$$
I agree to a point.I went from stock to a puig db.Fit was a tad poorer than i cared for..Wind didnt help much unless tucked ,but at 6' 2" it wasnt much help.
Switched to a ZG touring screen,THAT made a big difference..Best 25.00(2nd at the outlet store) i ever spent..Fits as good as stock, and really helps with the wind riding in a normal position.

I also used LockTyte instant hold. It is waterproof and dries in like 6 mins which leaves little room for error. I bought the plain aluminum gutter covers. They were like 1.19 a piece. In which you should only need 1 but i bought an extra just incase. Covering the fairings took about an hour.

yeah I dont have any gaps in mine. I could careless if I can see through it or not cuz I am 6'1" so trying to look through the windscreen is pointless. I agree with some people that there are nice windscreens, I just dont think they are worth the money. 99% of people buy them so they dont have the clear ones anymore. "They look cool with smoke or black". That is the mind set of most people that buy windscreens. When that is the case, just save your money and do it yourself. Just my .02

my ebay windscreen seems to have a gap at the very bottom where it comes to a V shape against the fairing
otherwise it fits perfectly (reused stock grommets)
i actually like the gap there better than without it ha ha
and i'm 5" 9 and the db helps a lot for me
