Would it be a waste?
I need a new rear tire for my "new" 2000 600F4. Since I'm shipping to basic training in June, I'm thinking of buying a nice and soft tire so I can have more fun in the twisties. Right now, I'm looking at a Michelin Pilot Power. But, my front tire is a a BT04 or something along those lines. Would it be a waste to have a pilot power on the back with a tire like that on the front? Or would the stickiness on the rear pay off? Thanks!
no matter how nice your rear tire is. your limits or bike limits will always be set with your skills and your lesser tire. buy set of dual compound tires the little excect dough works on in the long run. but metzlers m1 are on clearance on just about all websites and they have great traction

Everything I've heard about Metzeler M3s has been good. I've heard them to be comparable to pilot power 2cts as far as grip but a lot, lot longer life. plus you can get a 120/180 set brand new on motorcycle-superstore for about 283 shipped while the 2cts are 340. those are my next tires...
