Default Brake noise, pads dragging.

Hi all new 05 owner here. Ive noticed while pushing my bike around, I notice on my front brakes I can hear the brake pads slightly dragging on the discs. Not enough to that I cant roll the bike, but you can definately hear it. I dont remember hearing this on my old sv. Is this normal, Im going to clean the discs off maybe there just really dirty with old brake dust embedded in the discs. Any suggestions on how to clean them? Ive heard of using contact cleaner, although im not sure where to buy this, Ive also thought of sanding them with a fine grit paper? If this is also ok what grit? Thanks all.

The noise is normal, there should be slight brake drag on disc brakes. You can also hear it on most cars. If you still want to clean your brakes, use a spray brake cleaner on the rotors, and if you want, pull the pads and give them a quick, light sanding.

if the bike has been sitting outside for a while without moving the discs can get some build up. mine were rather loud after it sat for 3 months while i worked on it. after a good cleaning at a couple of rides it pretty much went away but axsys is right...there is always gonna be a little noise.
