Default Bouncing Chain??

I was riding with a guy I know yesterday and we were getting on it a bit and he said when he was riding next to me he heard a loud chain clicking/vibrating noise and thought it was his bike. He also said when he looked at my chain while accelerating it was bouncing up and down alot. We stopped and checked my chain and it is set to where it should be. Is this normal? (the bouncing) I have never payed much attention...When I got the bike the chain clicked but only because it was an old sh*tty chain and sprockets. I keep my chain lubed/clean and everything.....I do know my CCT probably needs to be replaced (high pitched rattle between 5-7K). Any chance that my CCT is THAT loud that he could hear it over my exhaust? My bike performs great IDK what this could be if anything!? Any suggestions would help Thanks!

As long as the tension is set with 1 inch of travel you should be fine. Im not sure how your buddy could hear the clicking but you couldn't hear anything. The cctl makes more of a high pitched buzz, not a "clicking" sound.

But don't get me wrong clicking sounds are not good.

Maybe check your tires for a screw head sticking out.....

if u pull the clutch in and it stops then your clutch basket is causing the noise and would have to be replaced to fix it.
your chains gonna bounce a little bit

I pulled the clutch in simply to hear if my chain was clicking...when I'm on the throttle is the only time there is buzzing and like I said it's only through around 5-7k my clutch and everything seems to be working great! Road a ton today and didn't have any probe ... Minus the buzz of course

how serious is a clutch basket because my 03 600rr does the same thing as k7inne09 said i thought it was the cct but the clutch basket makes more sense since when i pull in the clutch it goes away.

So are you saying the CCT would still rattle/buzz/make noise if the clutch was pulled in?
