Question Bike wont start

When I turn the key my cluster comes on but when I hit my starter button nothing happens. It doesn't even click like it's even attempting to start. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Hi and welcome!

What model & year bike do you have?

1. measure battery-voltage with everything OFF. Volts = ???
2. measure battery-voltage during cranking (or just pushing start-buttong). Volts = ???
3. if your bike has BAS, measure its output at ECM connector. Compare values with those given in manual.

I've got to ask the obvious.

Is the kill (run) switch on or off?
Are you pulling in the clutch?
Do you hear the fuel pump prime?

Kill switch is off. Pulled the clutch in. Don't hear the fuel pump prime at all. If I press the button enough time sometimes I get lucky and it comes on but very rarely.

Put battery on trickle-charger overnight. Want 13.8v fresh off charger and no less than 11v when cranking. Otherwise not enough voltage to run ECU and fire sparks.

Also use some electronics cleaner like Deoxit to clean contacts in ignition-switch, kill switch and start-button.

It's certainly looking that way, you could try to jump it from another battery to make sure, if using a car prob best not to have the car running tho.

On a 2000 F4, there is no fuel pump prime to listen for, it's carbureted, not FI. Nothing to worry about there.
