Default Bike dies, need help, I'm new

I believe this is a case of buying a new battery, but I would like other opinions, from people that know more than me.

Bike was running well, then all of a sudden LCD screen would fade in and out, along with neutral green light and the blue headlight light. When I give it gas it comes back, when I let it idle, it's on the verge of cutting out. It finally turned off all together and it won't turn back on. The F1 light comes on and there a tick tick tick noise. I actually got my friend to push me and I dropped clutch and got it running, but obviously i can't continue that. Does this sound like a battery problem, or something much worse?

Thanks for your help

yeah sounds like a weak battery. Just charge it up and see if it holds the charge and if the bike runs fine. If it doesnt then get yourself a new one. If the bikes still dying after riding for a little id look at your stator and the bikes charging system siiince that obviously isnt doing its job if thats the case.

Update: dropped bike off at the shop, the battery was down to 5 volts. He charged battery for a few hours, got it back up to 12.5, held charge, I drove it for a while, no problems, no flickering lights.

All of a sudden power starts to cut out, to response in throttle. When I turn bike on, it turns over fine everytime, but doesn't stay on for more than a few seconds. So the battery is good but something to do with Charrging system.
