so i picked up a cbr 600f3 1996 from cl and it will idle and rev fine in neutral. the bike had been sitting for two years with gas i cleaned the carbs and no change but sometimes i can ride it but when i shift to second it will bog and die. both the clutch and side stand switches have been cut out and i cant figure out from were. any help would be great
ps ihave not rode for about 7 years and i'm really itching to go for a ride

 

What RPM is it idling at when it's just sitting with no throttle?

 

lift the kickstand.

 

ok it was the kick stand switch the wires had been cut and the guy twisted all three wires together but i still have a lot of electrical issues like my blinkers don't work and have been disconnected been trying to trace but is taking forever and have been trying to find a diagram for my bike but have not been able to find one that i can use

 

Turn Signals, Smern Signals. Use the ol' harley signals. Left arm out, left arm bent up. Got your left and right indicators right there.

 

go purchase a shop manual. it will have wire diagrams with wire color in the back of the book. i dont understand why people dont buy a full manual when they buy a vehicle.

 

I got a clymer for like $25. Full wiring diagram in it and definitely worth it. Are the blinkers led or bulb?

 

so i took my bike on the freeway for the first time and it was all bad. i thought i had it running good "in town" but when i went on the freeway the bike would bog down then have full power and very erratic i think im having carb issues still i pulled them off and cleaned them. i think im running rich. but i dont know how to adjust the carbs rite
