battery again.

Default battery again.

k guys so i put my voltmeter on and it read 7.6 volts. does that mean my batterys dead or a recharging problem? thanks!

if its reading that low....its prob dead cause a new battery will read ~12.8.

Put it on a tender and see what happens.
I would guess new battery

good job picking up a voltmeter...it takes a lot of the guess work out

If the volt-meter is reading 7.6 then you have yourself a low-charge battery.
Doesent mean that it's a bad battery, but a regular battery should read above 12V.
It could have a low charge if its been sittin for a while.

Try charging it first, then test it with the volt-meter.
Run the bike, and if the battery looses charge again, then you have a good chance that your battery is defective or dead.

The battery charger is even cheaper than the volt-meter, lol, I only comment this because since you bought the volt-meter, you might as well buy the charger too. Also a very good investment.
I bought a trickle-charger at Wal-Mart for $19.95.

just make sure its a trickle charger...I use a 2amp charger. cause you cant use chargers made for like cars and boats...to high of charge rate
