bar end removal help?
Hey guys,
I need some help. I am trying to replace my stock barends. So I took the screw out, but how do I get the parts out of the inside of the bars? All that crap that the bolt is threaded into. Should i just thread the bolt in without the barend and then pull? If you know how to get it out please let me know.
Thanks
-Josh

Tassels are strips, sometimes colored that kids ( mostly girls, pink tassels)put on their bicycles, i dunno to make em pretty i guess.
I have seen a few cruisers, huge v-twins with burley mean looking guys on em, with brown leather tassels , though and the riders dident look one bit girley...

Hell yea!!! I am putting clear tassels with LEDs in them. They change colors according to my mood!!!
Actually I am putting press fit race bar ends. They are delrin, like frame sliders. They aren't held on by bolts, so I need to remove the crap that is in there.

If you look in the Service Manual section 13-6 it describes how to install/remove it. Theres a retaining ring that holds the weight/bar end assembly. The weight, located inside the clip-on, is held in by this retaining ring, which has a tab that protrudes through a hole on the top of the clip-on. The tab needs to be pushed in and the weight lubricated for it to slide out. I think using a bolt as you mentioned would ease removal.
