Default Another Battery Problem?

Hey guy's maybe you can tell me whats wrong with the F*&^er before i take it to the shop. I have a 06 CBR 600f4i and im going on my 3rd battery now. I dont know what's going on with it. Could be the alternator or some electrical problems or something hell i dont know. It started out with that YZF109 something and i put a generic battery in it. Seems to work fine for about 4-5 month's then it just dies. i wasnt sure if im supposed to unplug the battery everytime im done riding but i did for good measure. Sure enough the batteries dead and it's happened 3 times now! I wonder if im doing something wrong or what. Any Suggestions?

No, you definitely don't need to unplug the battery every time you're done riding.

It sounds like your electrical system is not properly charging batteries. You should do some searching around on this form for "rectifier" or "regulator" issues, or even "stator" issues to see if any solved problems sound just like what you're experiencing.

it should certainly last more than 5 months, but you could probably benefit from a trickle charger.

Use the search function and find the sticky on charging system tests.
