Default Almost grinding noise when shifting into 1st

Alright guys. Been riding my f4i around for about a month or so now and I have noticed that web I downshift into 1st, even with the clutch held in, it sounds almost like something is grinding or whining. The bike runs and drives fine in 1st gear, just wondering if it is something these bikes do or if I should get it looked at.

Not something that my bike does or that I've heard of with these bikes. I would get it looked at.

Anyone know where I would start? Obviously something transmission wise, but where would be my best place to start trouble shooting? My guess was something in the clutch or with actual 1st gear.

Sorry I can't be of more help. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to offer some advice.

Mine whines if you downshift to first at speed and don't revmatch it well. Its not a grinding noise though, definitely a whine. I always thought it was the syncros working. My bike is fine btw, been like that since I bought it 10,000 miles ago

Even with the clutch pulled in? I can pull my clutch in and downshift and keep the clutch held in, and it will still whine, but only does it in first. I plan on strapping my gopro on to see if I can explain it any better. I'm jut trying to get a good place to start looking for what to check or fix.

Yes. Mine does the same. Its just gear whine as far as I know. I think bikes have straight cut gears which are noisier than helical cut

Yeah it is more of a whining than a grinding, but I just wanted to run it past you guys to see if I should look into it more.
