Like the title says, I'm almost done painting the F4i... I just have the right fairing to do and I'm done... anyway, here's the pics:





Pay close attention and you might notice the fender is on the bike in the first photo but not in the second (how did that happen?) lol

Anyway, one of the many reasons I love bikes: you can rattle-can them and they look awesome... the clearcoat I used is like sex for your eyes... it's like a metalflake clear, but instead of the silver metal flakes, they're all different colors... if you catch the light just right, there's literally a full rainbow going down the side of the tank.

Still, for it to show up well, I'd have to post something like a 3268x2448 pixel image, and that's a bit big lol

Anyway, I also sprayed my dark-smoke windscreen with that clearcoat... I've gotta say, I love the results:



I'm starting to have second thoughts about the white (I'm thinking black would've looked better), but oh well... I still think it looks sick.

 

I like that clear, what kind is it.


I personally dont think the white looks good with that combination

 

The white looks good, I think it pulls it together and makes the whole bike stand out

 

krash - it's Clear Effex by Dupli-Color... it's $10 for a dinky little 7oz can, but I love the results you get.

And if I did it over, I'd probably do the accents in black instead of white.. but I still like the white

 

Cool stuff =) Working on painting mine right now. Sloooooow but totally worth it in the end.

I'm not a big fan of the white intake covers, but it looks cool on the nose.

 

i normally dont like white, but it looks damn good with that aqua color, and the clearcoat on the screen is a great idea

 

looks nice, but I would have added a bit more... something.

 

Do something with your stator cover and forks. That Honda green on Aqua really dulls up your paint IMO. That color of paint screams for some bling, the black wheels also really dull it up and I think those two things would make that bike look a million times better.

 

I like it. The white does accent it pretty well on the front, however I probably wouldnt have painted the air vents. Great job though. I would love to learn to do mine one day.
