you got a bad connection. i'm gonna guess that the wire you wiggle that creates all the havoc is the green one. cause when sht goes out, all of it goes out, not just one thing or the other. whatever wire it is, you need to chase the short. find out exactly where it is that you wiggle it, that it does the most "flickering". it's probly right in the connector, unless you notice some damage to any wire (not just bare, but pinched). if its in the plug, it could be where the wire connects to the little metal piece inside the plug, or the two pieces inside the plug are not making solid contact with each other. which is more often than not the case, which is why the dielectric grease helps. just dont over do it with that sht, it's counterproductive.
