Default frustrating problem with my f4i

ok guys im new to the forum, and have some problems with the bike i can not figure out.
i have 2001 cbr f4i and i took it out for its first ride yesterday and every time i come to a stop the bike wants to die. the idle is crazy, it will cruise great when i rap thru the gears but as soon as i stop will die if not given throttle.

i bought a used fuel pump recently on ebay and it seems fine, changed the spark plugs that were toast. after reading some threads on here i thought maybe it was the FPR but i took off the vaccum hose to it and don't see any fuel spurting out so now i am at a loss! any help you guys have would be great thanks.

also i have a venting problem with my fuel tank and im not sure why!

i tried the vacuum thing like you also and thought i could rule out the FPR but it ended up being the problem.

^ What they said. Higher idle speed. As far as the tank leak goes, I'd take the tank off, check all the seals and ports, and make sure everything is 100%. Then if you don't find anything wrong, take it in.

Mine started acting up last week...It would spit and sputter and only seemed to work good when I cranked on her....I took everything appart, removed my power commander and it was still doing it....As a last resort I took the fuel tank off and drained it thouroughly and that was the problem...I put fresh fuel in and it has never worked better....Make sure you ground wires are ok and make sure you have not ended up with bad gas...I gassed up and ended up with water in my gas....I wish i would have tried it first however I am glad that is all it was....Any chance you have the same issue? Bad gas can do all sorts of weird things....

I've tried adjusting the idle **** and it still wants to die at stop signs. I drained the tank and put fresh gas in it yesterday. I talked to a buddy of mine and he said the tank vents at the gas cap and that i should buy a new cap and that should take care of the venting problem, does the tank vent at the gas cap??

The tank vents outta the hose coming outta the bottom of the tank. Make sure they ain't pinched. Try running some seafoam through it, maybe your injectors are dirty.
