very frustrating brake problem
ive been build my f3 from the ground up- and now im trying to put on the front pair of brakes on my f3, and for some reason when i tighten up the two bolts that support the brakes connecting to the fork, theyll lock up the front wheel putting pressure on the rotor. i dont believe they should be like that, is there something im missing or forgetting when to put the brakes back on?
Is it possible that you've got the wheel spacers on the wrong side of the wheel. You know the ones on the axle. The larger spacer goes on the right side as you're sitting on the bike.

Read it that the forks were putting pressure on the disc, which is a spacer issue. But if the brakes are pressuring the rotor, ie locked up, they need to be bled to release the pressure.

Something you might want to take a look at is to check and see if your brake caliper bracket on the left side (from the rider's perspective) is contacting your disc, not your pads, causing the wheel to lock. If you download the repair manual, look at the page labeled "12-13" under the front wheel/suspension/steering section and make sure you set your fork width using the specified method. If the left fork is tightened into place using the pinch bolts either too narrow or too wide, bolting the caliper into place can cause the bracket to rub.

ya the caliper bracket it touching the top of the rotor causing it to lock up, im still having trouble figureing this one out, cause a few months ago i had put new pads on and reassembled no problem then i run into this problem.
well i believe i found my problem, i guess you cant use f2 forks on f3 rotors. if im wrong let me know cause this is buggin me. i thought i could get away with putting f2 forks on my f3, guess not.
