no, you're wrong, the f uses 296mm rotors, the rr- 310mm...

Thanks for checking on those specs APKRAVEN. I stand corrected.

Jaybird180, no problem, bro,

i bet spacers can be fabricated which will allow to take 310mm rotors , but real sense would be to fab brackets for 929-954 330mm rotors clearance..

I have those rotors in my parts unlimited catalog so they can't be that bad. From what i understand braking rotors and pads are pretty darn good especially if there min thickness is more then oem.

RR rotors are bigger but i think thats 06+ with the radial mount. Rotors dont do your stopping but pads do. Bigger rotors isnt going to equal better or shorter braking distances. Its just going to cool better and faster and have better heat transfer.

Ahem, 929/954 Calipers bolt straight up to F4i, so it would stand to reason that the rotors are same size.

no, not really, it just meants that the bolt sizes and distance between the bolts is the same, but the mounting bracket on the f4i is closer to the axle, cause the 954 rotors are 330mm. and i mean the spacers can be fabbed up that move the caliper farther from center and will allow the 330mm rotors to be installed
it won't really be too hard , but for now i don't think this conversion is worth doing, cause i don't need so much heat transfer capabilities.

The calipers are bolt up so are the calipers off older gsxr 1000s i believe, but there 6piston and mostly for show. i do believe that a gsxr1000 has bigger rotors then 296mm.
All the caliper has to do is fit between the fork and the wheel. As long as it has plenty of room up top you should be fine. Im sure plenty of calipers fit the f4i.

Id rather do an inverted fork conversion with radial calipers.
