I believe the Valve Adjustment is called for at 16k.

speaking of valve adjustments... How necessary is it? I'm at 23000 and I never checked my valves. I doubt its going to explode but am I in serious danger of something failing?

if you're not hearing any abnormal ticking your safe. The recommended mileage for valve adjustment is a preventive maintenance measure.

One thing you gotta do at 5000, RIDE HER MORE lol. Other then that, the next scheduled maintenance is at 8000 for the F4i. At least that's what my manual says. It was recommended that you check the idle speed, brake fluid/pad, and clutch systems at 4000.

And I don't think the valve adjustment is necessary at 16,000. Like Playful said, it's just a preventive maintenance measure. The manual says to "inspect and clean, adjust, lubricate, or replace if necessary" note the "if necessary"
