I just wanted to ask a question question. Does $415 sound about right to replace the generator on my 2001 f4i?

That sounds very expensive to me.....
How much is the part? Should be an hour of labour.
I replaced mine and it is very easy.
Depending on where you live I have a used one for like $100 +shipping and then you need a $8 gasket and about an hour of your time and your good to go.
