So CCT(L) should be changed at 16k regardless? (knock on wood) I don't have the issue with the bee cans and now @ 26k don't expect it.

I recall hearing that there was a Service Bulletin; that Honda would pay for the OEM replacement. What's the story on that?

 

? Just curious, maybe I missed it, but where does honda say that the CCTL or CCTis a maintence item?

 

it doesn't state so, but with that many miles, the noise is certain to drive you nuts...might as well change it out.

i had 2 replaced under warranty...after that i did that myself...this was even well after my warranty was up. the dealer told me it wasn't a mandatory recall and honda would replace on a case by case basis. lucky for me, regionalmanager approved it so i got free cctls!

after that, i dug around and long story short...i rather do it myself. down time and other bs, just not worth it (the mechs at the shop were very good, too good, too meticulous, too ****...i didn't like that).

They don't, just like they say the throttle bodies don't require adjustment either.
