It's real easy. You don't need to completely remove anything, just loosen and disconnect a few things.
The air duct covers - Remove the #5 allen screw and then pop out the tab from the rubber grommet and pull it away.
Remove the seat.
The Tank- Remove the front 2 8mm bolts, be careful there are two metal sleeves that will fall out once you lift the tank. Remove the 2 12mm bolts on the back of the tank. From here you can lift the front of the tank vertical and prop the tank up.
The Air box- Remove about 12 8mm bolts around the perimeter and one in the center.
Pull out the old filter and install your K&N. Put everything back together in reverse order.
