Hey everyone now to forum ive have a problem with my f4i. The bike when running at idle the turn signal lights will gradually dim and if you rev it the light brighten. Also if you rev it a lot real quick it will die and have slight issues starting, just give it gas and it starts. I checked the battery with it not turned on and it is 12.7v, running at idle and is around 12.3-12.5v and if you rev to 3000 rpms it will rise to 14.7v.

I've had this problem last year and replaced the r/r and fixed it, just got lucky didn't check anything. Since i checked a few things this time I was wanting to double check before i buy a new part.

also using handy manual i found the stator plug and got readings of about .5 ohm between all the wires

 

Since you have a multimeter, follow this flow chart step by step. This will rule out loose connections, the stator and the RR
