2001 F4i Turnsignal and Tail light issues, PICS included
Hello all,
Recently picked up a 2001 F4i that has some minor wiring issues. The turn signals do not work and when you select a right turn the emergency flashes come on? The tail light does not work either. I have found this mess of wiring that is probably responsible for all this and was wondering if anybody could give me some input. If someone could take a picture of their current wiring that would help out also.
Thanks

You're problem is that whoever had the bike before ripped out the alarm, or theundertailthat was installed on it. the wires are stripped so u either need to buy new connectors or simply cut out the original ones and splice the correct wires together, once i get home i can help u out with what wires go where. since i dont have manual at work.ill repost latertoday

Yeah, looks like the wires with the red connectors went to an undertail or alarm or something. Your stock signals would plug into the orange and green connectors. You can either cut those connectors off and re-splice everything yourself, or order a new set. The wiring is pretty simple for the back - you should only have two turn signal wires, power and ground. The tail light bulbs should have their own harness and should be fine as long as you aren't having any issues with them.

worked on it some last night and made some progress. Seems like the previous owner tried to do the trailor convertor integrator and failed horribly. Starting cleaning everything up and was running everything backwards until finding out that all solid green wires are grounds. Picked up some turn signals today during lunch so everything should be back to normal tonight. appreciate the help everyone.
