I wish there was a way to retain the rear grab bar and use the '01-'03 seat. Even if it meant welding brackets and opening holes in the '01-'03 tail.

I'm having a problem putting the battery cover on the box and getting the ecm to fit under the seat any tips?

Yep. Check my tutorial. Pics of both available.

Quick notes...
  • You don't need the battery cover. Set it aside.
  • I rerouted my ecu. It lives under the front seat.

definitely needs a new subframe? not possible with old subframe?

I have the rear fairing, I have the seats but I haven't the subframe of F sport

Yes, to use the split-seat rear fairing & seats, you'll need the '01-03 split seat subframe.

You can give the illusion of a split seat conversion by using a race tail similar to Sharkskinz but it won't be a conversion per say. And, you'd have to use a seat pad, not a factory seat. Of course, a rear seat wouldn't be possible either.

I am confused about changing the rear tank mounting bolts. What am I supposed to change them too? is it necessary?
