Hey guys, Just picked up an 05 F4i from a buddy I work with. Super excited!!! Needs a little bit of work and I'm searching around for the service manual. Most of the links I see on this site are broken. Does anyone have the pdf for the service manual (owners too maybe) they can post or send me? That would be great.

When I got it, It would do nothing when you hit the start button. All the lights would work and fuel pump would work with you turned the key on. Good news it it just was a battery that would be at 12 volts and not be able to take the load of starting (wouldn't even try). I replaced the battery and it fires right up. I'm trying to test the charging system to make sure that is good so I don't get stranded. It hovers around 12.5v when idle and stays there when revved up to about 5000 rpm. I'm thinking it should be a little bit higher. Was hoping it would be good to go to ride this summer and I can fix the little stuff this winter, but again, I don't wanan get stranded somewhere.

Thanks! That did work. Is the seat and rear sub-frame the only thing that is different in 04-06? That manual is for 01-03. Is engine/electrical stuff pretty much the same?

 

Yes, it was a cosmetic change because the CBR600RR was making it's debut.
