Default User / Owners manual vs. Services Manual

Hi Guys

I have recently purchased a "previously owned" F4i 2002 model. Unfortunately the previous owner could not find the various manuals he had received with the bike.

I have searched the net and only found a service manual, (104MB file which due to limited bandwidth available I will only download overnight).

I am looking for a copy of a user manual but most people keep on pointing me to the service manual.

My question:
Is there a difference between the 2?

i have the owner's manual that came with the bike, and i got the service manual from Mission Motorsports for like $40 something bucks not including tax. the Service manual is pretty big and has detailed drawings as well as actual pictures for every part on the motorcycle. i would recommend getting a service manual from the dealership, its all you'll need

The owners manual that comes with the bike just tells you basic things like changing your oil and stuff and lists all the accessories.
The service manaul tells you how to fix the bike.

Im just wondering why you are comparing the two because they arent in the same category for motorcycle repair.

GOOD POINT "D". Also if you need to get your hands on the manuals I work for a honda dealership and I will be ckecking on some prices for owners & service Manuals. I will let you know if they are available and the prices.
