'02 f4i rear seat stuck
hi,
I have an'02 f4i with the split seats.
i was an idiot and had an accident with my bike by popping a wheelie.
as a result the bike kinda stood on it's tail and causing the rear seat to now be undetachable.
i noticed it at the shop when picking up the bike after its repairs. Guy said the latch that connects the key thingy to the lock might have come loose. He said to get at it I would have to try lifting the rear cowl and reaching in to see if i could manually unlock the rearseat.
Looking at the bike i can't see how this would work.
Anyone have any suggestions?
thanks in advance

its so simple once you see what the hold up is, lol. but from my experience...you'll need to remove the tail(or atleast get it back far enough for you to reach in and put the lock cable back in its place). its a pretty simple task.
This happened to me after I installed an undertail, the lock was not secured correctly. I took off my front seat, then reached my arm in and pulled the cable to relase the seat latch. Took about 15 mins to get and hurt like a ****. Or find a friend with really skinny arms to do it for you. Good luck
Hmm, "wannaride" has a good idea. maybe try that before you remove the tail. try using one of those long thin claw grabbers that you can pick up at any Autozone. that doesnt work, just remove the tail.
LOL, after i installed my undertail, i couldnt get my r seat off [:@]i ended up just partially removingunder tailinorder to detach cable etc, all worked out lol, never though of trying the front seat approach though? good luck w it
